Empower Newsletter – June 2011
Welcome to the June, 2011 edition of the Empower Newsletter. Can you believe we are coming up to half a year already? How time flies when you are having fun.
I would love to hear how your 2011 Goals are progressing and any milestones you have achieved along the way.
Did you know?
’we have over 60,000 thoughts in one day’
and we choose what we think. The 60,000 thoughts can be the same thought over and over again. How we think shapes our lives. So why not shape your beliefs that will shape your destiny?
? What you think helps determine what you notice in your world. This determines what you will give your attention to and what you give your attention to determines your results. ? What we can language we can experience. Your language is a result of your thinking. ? Your self-talk is going to be a reflection of your results. Stop beating yourself up and/or blaming others. Take responsibility for the results you are getting. ? Visualise the results you want. What you focus on is what you get to the exclusion of everything else.
I wonder what would happen if you focused on how you want things to be rather than how you perceive things are! What do you have to loose other than the old results?
A great read
Get the life you want by Richard Bandler
This book is a practical, common sense, easy to understand guide for anyone who wants to change any undesired behaviours. It uses Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and it contains a set of tools which help us to make things simple (as we tend to overcomplicate things). This enables us to control our mental state and achieve the control we want in our lives which translates to happiness and fulfilment.
