Empower Newsletter – July 2011
Welcome to the July, 2011 edition of the Empower Newsletter.
In last month’s Newsletter, the idea was put forward that focusing on how you want your life to be instead of focusing on how you perceive it to be now, would change the results you are currently getting. What have you decided to give your attention to and how has it changed your results?
Did you know?
’you are responsible for your results and non-results’
We can’t control the challenges life has built in but we can control how we respond to it. How we respond will determine the quality of our lives.
It’s about being responsible for our own results. Being responsible means letting go of denial, blame and/or excuses. By taking responsibility for your results and non-results, you will give yourselves a far greater opportunity to change those very results.
There is a difference between reacting and responding, reacting comes from fear and responding comes through learning, considering and a degree of wisdom. It means owning our experience, not blaming someone else. We choose our response. How we experience something is our choice. We label things good or bad.
Take ownership for your results and your experience. We choose our results on some level. It’s about turning things around by being resourceful. It about what’s within us. Resourcefulness is our thinking (moods, attitudes, thinking, beliefs, values and our ability to embrace challenges and become resilient).
A great read
